Each product is unique and is manufactured individually according to the wishes of our customers. All products are designed and developed at our headquarters in Muri.

Innovation has driven us for three generations

Since the company was founded by Ernst Gremaud, we have been driven by the desire to constantly improve and create innovations. In 2006, under the management of Gianni Gremaud, the Muri site became the most modern production facility in Europe. Since 2018, Alain Michel, grandson of the founder, has been managing the company and focusing on digitalization and customer orientation.

Innovation and components business since 1964

STOBAG starts with the aim of designing shading solutions that are easier to install. Ernst Gremaud designs and launches innovative and unrivalled lightweight aluminium components. This marks the beginning of the successful production and marketing of roller shutter and awning systems.

Industrialization and expansion from 1975

Together with his son Gianni, Ernst Gremaud builds on the company's innovative strength and continues to expand. From 1989, Gianni Gremaud takes over the guide as CEO and at the same time develops user-friendly configuration solutions. Support for dealers (specialist partners) is further professionalized. In 2006, as a visionary, he opted for fully automated logistics with a high-bay warehouse at the headquarters in Muri and switched to paperless production.

Digitalization and customer focus from 2015

Alain Michel is continuously driving digitalization and the targeted orientation of the brand and product portfolio towards architects and end customers. His aim is to perfectly tailor the range and design to the requirements of modern architecture and the individual needs of customers for outdoor living. He also attaches great importance to close and trusting cooperation with specialist partners, as high-quality projects can only be successfully realized and sustainable values created through strong partnerships.

Design and development in Switzerland. International presence.

We continue to design all our products in Switzerland and operate a state-of-the-art production facility at our headquarters. We also manufacture at other locations in Europe and Canada in order to optimally serve the North American market. Our sales team is represented in 18 countries worldwide.

Swiss design and engineering, Canadian Made with a quality focus. In Burlington, Ontario, Canada, STOBAG North America manufactures our line of shade solutions. STOBAG North America is responsible for sales within Canada and the United States. With a network of hundreds of local specialist Partners / Dealers, and the STOBAG regional team, you receive an excellent all-round service. In the spacious showroom at 1445 Norjohn Court, our employees are available on site for product consultations, technical advice and technical service.
